Virtual Class | Introduction to Matcha
Matcha has surged in popularity in the United States in recent years, but its roots in Japan stretch back centuries, deeply intertwined with the country’s tea culture and traditions. In this live virtual workshop, guests will deepen there understanding of matcha, through understanding and exploring matcha through taste, preparation technique, and production and cultivation.
Led by Kettl’s tea expert educators, this interactive class guides participants through the essential tools and techniques used in traditional Usucha Matcha preparation. Guests will learn how to properly whisk and prepare a bowl of matcha at home, gaining practical skills they can return to long after the session ends.
This introductory experience is ideal for those discovering Japanese tea for the first time, as well as anyone looking to deepen their appreciation and practice of matcha.

• Guided discussion on matcha history and production
• Step-by-step preparation and whisking instruction
• Live tasting and flavor exploration
